I can go from the Central Valley (where San Jose, the Capital City is located) west to the Pacific Coast in 1 hour 30 minutes, and to the Caribbean beaches
to the east in 2 hrs.

You can drive from the northern border of Nicaragua/Costa Rica, through San Jose, and then over the Chirripo Mountains and down to the southern border of
Costa Rica/Panama in only 8-10 hrs.

The Joy of Costa Rica is that you have more "micro-climates" and different areas to live that are VERY close to everything, yet everything changes in just a 20 to 50 mile distance.

You can do more in one day here, and see more, then any one place in the world.
